A structural steel vertical brace terminates at a two-inch thick Grade 50 base plate anchored to a concrete foundation. Four two-inch diameter anchor rods conforming to ASTM F1554 Grade 105 secure the base plate, extending to a two-foot six-inch embedment depth with a seven and a half inch projection. Three-quarter by five by zero-foot five-inch plate washers are provided at each anchor rod. Hairpins are installed at the embedded anchor rods, with additional information referenced in foundation details. Five-sixteenths inch fillet welds connect the structural members typical.
