A concrete footing is thickened locally to maintain the required depth of top reinforcing steel where it conflicts with a pipe sleeve. The top reinforcement dips beneath a maximum six-inch diameter sleeve while maintaining minimum clearances of two inches above and one inch below the sleeve face. Rebar follows a six-to-one slope transition on each side of the obstruction with a twenty-four-inch typical lap splice. Reinforcement size and spacing are sized per plan.
