A hollow structural section beam frames into a vertical member using a gusset plate connection reinforced with top and bottom stiffener plates. A Cast Connex universal pin connector secures the diagonal hollow structural section truss member to the gusset plate. Specified models include UPC-5.563 at T3 truss and UPC-6.625 at T4 truss with a three-quarter-inch clearance gap.
