An exterior concrete housekeeping pad sits atop a slab on grade and is anchored with drilled epoxy dowels and vertical dowels with standard ninety-degree hooks spaced at twelve inches on center at the perimeter and twenty-four inches on center each way at the interior. The pad maintains a six-inch minimum thickness with a three-quarter-inch chamfer at vertical corners and one-and-a-half-inch concrete cover typical. A continuous L4x3x1/4 structural steel angle with long leg vertical is secured with headed anchor studs at eighteen inches on center at the edge. Sized per plan, the pad supports mechanical equipment while tying into the existing slab substrate.
