Cold-formed steel framing connections include header and bracing conditions at jamb studs. A two-inch by two-inch by sixteen-gauge clip angle is attached using four number eight screws where bracing terminates at built-up jambs or posts. A track section matches the jamb stud gauge and is attached to the jamb with six number ten screws and to the header with three number ten screws on each flange. Cripple studs and header studs are secured using number eight screws spaced at sixteen inches on center. Powder-actuated fasteners replace standard screws when connecting to structural steel jambs.
