A 5/8-inch thick steel base plate with standard holes and 3/4-inch diameter bolts anchors the ladder stringer to the concrete support. The concrete support requires 15/16-inch diameter holes for 3/4-inch diameter Hilti Kwik-X anchors, utilizing element 418085 KH-EZ 3/4-inch by 7-inch and capsule 2346813 KHC 3/4-inch large. A minimum embedment of 5 inches is required, and installation must follow the manufacturer's printed instructions by certified installers. The assembly specifies minimum edge distances for concrete of 2 1/2 inches for L4x4 stringers and 1 1/2 inches for L3x3 stringers. Typical 1/4-inch fillet welds are used for the connection.
