A non-structural concrete masonry unit wall terminates at the flange of a structural steel column with a compressible filler placed in the gap as required by the architect. Wall reinforcement is provided at the masonry end per structural reference details. The masonry units fit adjacent to the column flange separated by the compressible joint material.
