Concrete slab on steel decking runs parallel to supporting steel beams with welded studs and continuous reinforcing bars. A number 3 continuous reinforcing bar is wired to the studs to support welded wire fabric or reinforcement. Additional number 3 bars at six feet zero inches long are spaced at twelve inches on center at wide flange beams of size twenty-four and deeper. The steel deck spreads as required for studs where beams run parallel to the deck. A metal edge form with a one-half inch return is detailed at the perimeter. Clearances include one inch to welded wire fabric and three-quarters of an inch to rebar.
