A reinforced concrete beam frames into a concrete column with a one-half inch bearing interface. The beam consists of three number eight top bars and three number eight bottom bars, with concrete fill over metal deck referenced per plan. A number four continuous bar is placed at each face. Transverse reinforcement utilizes number three stirrups and ties at ten inches on center, with the first stirrup located two inches from the face of the column at each end. Top and bottom bars are continuous through both beam spans and extend eighteen inches minimum beyond the face of support terminating in standard hooks. The column support includes dowels referenced from sheet S5.02 and maintains a one and one-half inch clear cover.
