Dowel Laminated Timber panels fasten to the top flange of a steel beam with Simpson SDHR27400 screws installed at 24 inches on center into predrilled holes. A maximum 1/2 inch panel gap is maintained at the centerline of the steel beam joint. The assembly incorporates sheathing as specified per plan and maintains a 1 3/4 inch typical edge distance from the beam flange edge. Steel beam size and top of steel elevation are determined per the structural plan.
