This structural steel detail shows a full-height single plate shear tab connection joining a supported beam to a supporting frame beam, sized per plan. The shear tab thickness equals the frame beam web thickness with a three-eighths inch minimum. A "K" dimension per the AISC manual is maintained at the beam flange cope.
