A metal deck spans perpendicular to a supporting steel beam with shear studs welded through the deck ribs into the beam flange. The detail shows varying configurations of one, two, or three headed studs per rib. Studs are positioned adjacent to bottom dimples in the deck ribs, maintaining a minimum clearance of 1 1/4 inches from the rib edge to the stud centerline. The deck ribs measure 2 5/8 inches wide with a bottom dimple detail.
