Steel beams frame into a hollow structural section column using a through-column slot shear tab connection. The shear plate passes directly through the column profile and is sized and bolted per structural schedules. The first row of bolts secures the web with a quantity and size referenced on the schedule, while additional bolt rows are detailed on the structural plans. Top of steel elevations are aligned and marked as shown on the plan.
