A continuous bottom track of size 600S162-43 sets inside a deep leg deflection track to accommodate vertical movement. A single number 10-16 self-drilling screw fastens each flange of the framing stud above to each side of the deflection track. Two number 10-16 screws secure the track connection at sixteen inches on center. Stud blocking is installed within six inches of the deflection track to allow sheathing attachment without restricting structural movement.
