An elevated concrete slab and metal deck steps down across a supporting structural steel beam sized per plan. Styrofoam filler blocks the void between the concrete levels. Five-sixteenths inch fillet welds connect the steel framing components, with increased weld size per connection to the column plate as indicated. Reinforcing steel is detailed with a minimum four-foot extension and a maximum two-foot-six-inch dimension per architectural requirements.
