Two structural sections detail a joist bracing connection using rolled steel angles and spacer plates. Section A shows a four-inch spacing with a three-sixteenths-inch weld connecting the assembly to a vertical suspension member. Section B details parallel angles bolted across a chord with half-inch diameter bolts at twelve inches maximum spacing. One-quarter-inch by three-inch square plate washers secure the connections, accompanied by one-quarter-inch spacer plates on each side as required. A typical plate washer is welded to the bottom chord with a one-eighth-inch fillet weld spanning a minimum of one inch.
