A structural steel moment frame column is supported on a base plate anchored into a concrete mat foundation. Anchor bolts are installed with washers per schedule, detailed in 3/S3.03B, and secured with nuts above the base plate. Four number four ties are provided around the anchor bolts at four inches on center typically. The foundation mat top elevation is indicated relative to the column base connection.
