This structural steel connection details a buckling restrained Wildcat BRB brace framing into a wide flange beam. A strand plate connects the brace to half-inch stiffener plates or full-depth connection plates welded to each side of the beam web with five-sixteenths fillet welds on three sides. An optional four-by-four by five-sixteenths erection angle with slotted holes and three-quarter-inch diameter erection bolts provides temporary support during erection.
