Cold-formed steel tracks are joined end-to-end using an internal S162 splice track with a thickness matching the main track. The nested splice piece fits tightly inside the primary track profile. Three number 10 screws secure each side of the splice connection through the flanges into the nested track. Top and bottom track splices must be staggered by a minimum of 48 inches.
