A structural steel davit support assembly sits at a beam intersection, featuring a square davit socket pedestal plate welded to the supporting steel beams. Three-eighths-inch stiffener plates are welded to the beam flanges and webs with quarter-inch fillet welds. Additional half-inch by four-inch plates are installed on each side with quarter-inch fillet welds to transfer loads effectively into the structural framing.
