An existing steel bar joist supports vertical hanger wires and diagonal support wires wrapped around its bottom chord. Saddle ties at the support feature a double loop. Hanger wires are secured with three tight turns, while bracing and splay wires require four tight turns. Splay wires must remain parallel to the joist and cannot be perpendicular. The maximum allowable load per hanger is fifty pounds.
