A C12 channel stringer connects to a 4-inch hollow structural section post and partition assembly via a 3/8-by-6-1/2-inch connection plate. The connection plate is secured with two 7/8-inch diameter high-strength bolts and welded with a 1/4-inch fillet weld. An L2x2 metal deck support angle bears beneath the metal deck infill. The maximum distance from the post centerline to the stringer face is 8-3/4 inches.
