A diagonal structural strut connects to the underside of a supporting steel beam flange using a gusset plate assembly. The connection incorporates a working point at the intersection of members, secured with one-eighth-inch fillet welds. Metal decking bears across the top flange of the beam. Pins and welded anchors provide additional connection security at the framing junction.
