A davit socket pedestal is mounted on a 3/4-inch by 12-inch square minimum base plate at a steel corner column and beam framing intersection. The davit socket pedestal is supported by L8x4x1/2 long-legs-vertical angles connected to the framing and column. Fillet welds of 3/8-inch size secure the structural angle assembly as indicated by the weld symbols. The framing members and columns are sized per plan with specific clearances including a 2-inch minimum offset.
