A 2x10 skylight curb is framed atop doubled 2x sub-purlins, which are secured with 10d nails at six inches on center. Simpson A35 framing connectors are tied at each corner of the curb assembly. A Simpson HRS8 connector is anchored at each corner of the supporting sub-purlin level. The contractor is instructed to double up the sub-purlins specifically at the skylight location per structural requirements.
