Cast-in-place concrete curb details feature #3 dowels with a 180-degree bend at the top and a 90-degree hook at the bottom spaced at twenty-four inches on center, tied into the underlying concrete slab. For curbs with widths less than or equal to eight inches, a single #3 continuous reinforcing bar is placed at the center of the curb width. For curbs with widths greater than eight inches, #3 reinforcement is placed at twelve inches on center each way. Both configurations maintain a three-quarter inch clearance and a maximum six-inch height with a one-half inch typical radius at the top outer edges.
