A cold-formed metal framing connection anchors to a reinforced concrete slab edge and a supporting steel framing beam. The assembly incorporates a full-height fitted three-eighths-inch stiffener plate welded to the beam web with one-quarter-inch fillets on three sides. An inframing beam connects per plan, with bracing details referenced to sheet S5.205. Cold-formed metal studs and stiff clips are provided per the delegated designer, anchored into the slab edge with number four by three-foot-long A706 stud weldable rebar spaced at one foot six inches on center using Nelson D6L anchors or approved equivalent. Maximum allowable stress design basis facade loads at the connection are specified as four hundred fifty pounds per foot for gravity load and three hundred pounds per foot for lateral load, with mullion connection loads varying by spacing.
