A structural steel jamb column at a mechanical louver is supported by a steel beam and metal roof deck assembly at the penthouse floor. A continuous L4x4x5/16 deck bearing angle is welded with quarter-inch fillet welds, maintaining a one-inch clearance. Slab edge bracing angles align at the column with additional sets provided per specified sheet references. Infill studs are placed between columns as required, and bent plates with deformed bar anchors connect at the jamb column.
