An open-web steel joist connects to an embedded steel plate on a precast concrete wall panel. A stabilizer plate is welded to the precast embed and positioned beneath the joist top chord, with the bottom chord left unwelded to the stabilizer plate per drawing notes. Various fillet welds secure the connection plates, including quarter-inch, three-eighths, and half-inch welds as specified. Wood nailers and adjoining ledgers are omitted from the view for clarity.
