A post-tensioned concrete slab bears on a concrete column or wall. Banded and uniform post-tensioning tendons are profiled through the slab thickness, supplemented by top and bottom mild reinforcing bars. A drop panel is included where required, along with optional shear reinforcement centered over the support. Clearances are specified as three-quarters of an inch for post-tensioning and rebar, with one inch minimum at exterior conditions. Mild reinforcement is spaced at a maximum of twelve inches on center within the designated column strip zones.
