Multiple W18 framing beams and a W27 beam connect to a central column flange utilizing a heavy gusset plate and complete joint penetration welds. Plates measuring 1-1/2 inches thick attach to the top and bottom flanges of the W18 members with complete joint penetration welds typical unless otherwise noted. The web connections follow Type C5 standards with bolted configurations. Complete joint penetration welds secure the plate to the column flanges and web at the work point intersection.
