A cross-laminated timber deck bears directly on a glulam beam at a floor or roof shaft opening, aligned with the beam centerline. Simpson SDCP221100 structural screws fasten the assembly from above at eighteen inches on center. The deck and beam locations are referenced to the structural framing plans.
