An HSS5x5x3/16 hollow structural section column extends between steel joists sized per plan, topped by an L6x4x5/16 angle member. An L4x4x1/4 angle brace connects to the assembly via a 1/4 inch by 5 inch plate with quarter-inch fillet welds. Additional L4x4x1/4 angles provide horizontal bracing between the framing members. Metal roof deck bears across the top of the assembly.
