A reinforced concrete housekeeping pad rests on a slab-on-grade with a minimum thickness of six inches and a typical height between four and six inches. The pad is reinforced with number three reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center each way and features a three-quarter inch clearance. Connection to the supporting slab is achieved using number three dowels with standard ninety-degree hooks at twelve inches on center at the perimeter and twenty-four inches on center each way at the interior. These dowels are set into drilled half-inch diameter by four-inch deep holes cleaned and secured with epoxy. Vertical corners receive a three-quarter inch chamfer while horizontal edges have a half-inch radius.
