A hollow structural section hanger drops from a supporting beam sized per plan, fitted with three-eighths-inch full-height stiffener plates on each side and a WT7x17 section welded with quarter-inch fillet welds on both sides. A three-eighths-inch base plate occurs at the bottom of the hanger. A shear tab sized per schedule connects to the side of the hollow structural section with quarter-inch fillet welds.
