A six-times-dimensioned wood nailer matches the beam flange width and is secured using seven-eighths-inch diameter welded threaded rods at sixteen inches on center staggered. The rods feature countersinks up to three-quarters-inch maximum depth into the nailer. One rod is placed nine inches maximum from each end of the nailer and from each splice. Two rows are installed at bolt spacing, utilizing four lines where bolts are staggered and six lines where three lines of nailing are required. The supporting structural steel beam is sized per plan.
