An aluminum beam connects to an aluminum rectangular tube column sized per plan. An aluminum plate measuring five-eighths inch thick by one foot two inches long is used at the connection, with typical dimensions of one and a half inches. Bolts secure the assembly as detailed per plan and reference sheet S510.
