A galvanized steel angle or bent plate supports the brick veneer, secured with veneer anchorage tied back to the exterior sheathing. The ledger angle is welded to the web side of the steel stud flange at each stud location with a one-eighth inch fillet weld typical. The backup wall consists of cold-formed steel studs with a sixteen gauge continuous track and exterior sheathing.
