The stud wall is anchored to the concrete stem wall via a pressure-preservative-treated bottom plate secured with 5/8-inch diameter anchor bolts spaced at 4 feet on center, embedded 7 inches deep unless noted otherwise. The assembly includes a plate washer, cut washer, and nut. The stem wall is reinforced with two number 4 continuous bars at the top and number 4 dowels at 18 inches on center with standard hooks. For stem walls taller than 12 inches, number 4 continuous bars are placed at 12 inches on center. A 15-pound building paper or vapor barrier is installed between the stem wall and the adjacent slab. The footing depth is 2 feet 6 inches minimum below finish grade.
