An exterior concrete wall footing connects to a concrete slab on grade and foundation wall using deformed steel reinforcing bars. Vertical wall dowels match the size and spacing of the wall vertical reinforcement, anchored into the footing with standard hooks. Number 4 dowels spaced at 18 inches on center tie the slab on grade into the foundation wall. The footing width and depth are sized per the structural schedule, and the slab on grade thickness and reinforcing are sized per plan.
