A 310UC137 upper column section splices to a 350WC230 or 350WC258 lower column section using sixteen M30 bolts through a twenty millimeter cover steel plate. Sixteen millimeter end plates prepared for full contact secure to the columns with four M30 bolts and ten millimeter flat washers. A custom-fit steel packer with flat washers is welded to the column, specifying a ten millimeter fillet weld when the packer exceeds ten millimeters or matching the packer thickness when thinner than ten millimeters.
