A welded tee connection joins a horizontal hollow structural section member to a continuous vertical hollow structural section column. The horizontal member is an HSS20x8 hollow structural section framed perpendicularly into the face of an HSS14x4 hollow structural section column. A one-quarter-inch thick end plate caps the end of the horizontal member and is secured with typical one-quarter-inch fillet welds around the perimeter. Additional weld symbols indicate standard shop or field welding connecting the members together typically.
