A post-tensioned concrete slab construction joint separates Pour Number 1 and Pour Number 2. A continuous two-by-six keyway is formed along the joint face, with concrete bonding agent applied to the hardened surface before the second pour. An intermediate stressing anchor is positioned at the mid-depth of the slab to terminate and stress the post-tensioned tendons. Reinforcement across the joint includes two continuous number four backup bars, paired number four hairpins, and thirty-inch long number three hairpins supported by bars as required, supplementing the slab reinforcing specified per plan.
