A half-inch steel plate is welded to the underside of a hollow structural section header to support a maximum six-inch brick veneer. The connection utilizes quarter-inch fillet welds spaced at three inches on center with twelve-inch intervals, indicated on both sides of the plate connection. The brick veneer aligns with the horizontal steel plate projecting from the structural section.
