A gusset plate connects structural braces to a supporting beam centered on a working point. The gusset plate is welded to the beam flange with a typical one-quarter inch fillet weld. Grade sixty A seven hundred six dowel bars measuring number four by two feet zero inches are installed with hook details at the slab edge spaced at twelve inches on center maximum per plan. Bracing members and gusset plates are provided where indicated on the structural plans.
