A one-inch thick embedded plate anchors the precast concrete wall panel to the concrete foundation. Number six dowels with one hundred eighty degree hooks extend from the foundation into the wall panel, with total counts specified by the embedded plate schedule. Three #3 hairpin bars at 3 inches on center by 8 feet long reinforce the connection. L 3 x 3 x 3/8 by 12 inches long angles are welded with 3/8 inch fillets typically, and 3 inches of minimum concrete cover is provided around steel after welding.
