Steel framing connections join a supported beam to a supporting girder sized per plan. Complete joint penetration groove welds are applied at the top and bottom flanges typically. A single plate shear tab connects the beam web using standard bolts. Two conditions illustrate the connection where the beam matches the girder depth and where the framing beam is smaller than the girder.
