An expansion joint condition occurs between concrete slabs supported by wide flange steel beams sized per plan. The concrete slab features slab edge supports and slab depressions coordinated per architectural drawings, with a twelve-inch joint width at roof level and a six-inch joint width at level zero two. Slab reinforcement includes standard ninety-degree hooks at the slab edge. Welded wire fabric or rebar is detailed with epoxy dowels and embedded anchors tying the slab back to the wide flange beams.
