A structural steel column with base plates and anchor bolts sits within a concrete footing pocket sized per plan. Gusset plates are attached per the buckling-restrained brace manufacturer. A control joint or construction joint is located per detail 14 on sheet S3.22. Infill concrete is specified to be cast after the column base plate has been grouted. Reinforcement includes number 4 trim bars centered with six inches minimum and two inches clear spacing typical.
