This structural steel connection details a buckling-restrained braced frame double brace intersecting a beam and column moment connection. The gusset plates are sized per the BRBF manufacturer and welded to the framing, featuring typical one-inch by one-inch snips and five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. One-half-inch stiffener plates are provided on both sides of the beam web where required. Complete joint penetration welds are specified at the column connections, with weld backing removal and backgouging to sound weld metal where noted. Connection bolts for the braces are provided by others as indicated on plan.
